Why a 10-Inch Package Makes Sense
A 10 is the practical size for most first builds and for vehicles where a 12 simply won't fit. It's easier to place, needs less airspace, and in a properly tuned box it will out-hit a larger sub in the wrong enclosure. Buying the sub and box together removes the airspace guesswork that trips up most first-time installs.
Ported or Sealed?
- Ported — more output per watt and deeper extension; the usual pick for bass-forward systems
- Sealed — smaller footprint and tighter response, ideal for compact trunks and daily drivers
