Shop monoblock amplifiers at JS Ultimate Sounds — single-channel Class D amps built for one job: driving subwoofers hard and staying cool doing it.
Why Monoblock for Subwoofers?
A mono amp puts all of its power into one channel and is typically stable at low impedance (2 ohm, 1 ohm, and on some models 0.5 ohm), which is exactly how subwoofer voice coils get wired. That's why a monoblock makes far more usable bass power than bridging a multichannel amp of the same price.
Match the Amp to Your Subs
Two numbers decide your purchase: your subwoofer's RMS rating and the final impedance after wiring the voice coils. An amp rated 2,000W at 1 ohm makes roughly half that at 2 ohms — so wire first, then buy. Our subwoofer install guide walks through series vs parallel coil wiring in plain English.
Popular Monoblocks
We carry mono bass amps across every budget — Taramps Bass and Smart series for maximum watts per dollar, Down4Sound JP monoblocks, Sundown Audio, SoundQubed and B2 Audio. Reviews: Down4Sound JP23, Taramps Bass 3K.
Feed It Properly
Big monoblocks pull serious current. Plan a true-gauge amp wiring kit (1/0 on high-power builds), the Big 3 upgrade, and the right battery — then set the gain and subsonic filter with our tuning guide. Clipping from an over-set gain kills more subs than clean power ever will.
Running door speakers too? See 4-channel amplifiers. Tell us your subs and we'll match the amp.
