How this package ships
- Two separate deliveries. Your subwoofer ships from JS Ultimate Sounds and usually arrives first.
- Separate tracking numbers. You will get one for each delivery, so a tracking link showing only part of your order is normal.
- The enclosure is built to order by Basshead Supply and ships direct from them in about 2 to 3 weeks.
- The subwoofer is not pre-installed. You mount it in the enclosure once both have arrived.
- The enclosure arrives finished in a gray stain, ready to install.

The Z v.7 is the third step in Sundown’s 2025 ultra-high-excursion lineup after the M and X v.4 series, built on the custom-tooled, patented “mega-platform” frame. It pairs that frame with a quad-stacked 265mm (10.43″) motor and a 100mm (3.94″) magnet stack — the largest motor ever used on a Z series sub — driving a 3.3″ 4-layer round-wire aluminum voice coil with a 95mm winding length. A patent-pending airflow-directing pole cap, six pole-OD channels, sixteen gap vents, and a cross-drilled top plate keep the coil cool, while a 9mm magnet-ID Faraday ring and pole-extension inductance sleeve deliver highly linear inductance. The result is 42mm of one-way linear excursion by 70% BL with an extremely uniform curve, designed for the lowest bass extension possible in a small ported enclosure with very low distortion.

This enclosure is custom built specifically for the Sundown Audio ZV7 18" subwoofer. Basshead Supply's Performance Series enclosures are subwoofer-specific boxes engineered for strong, clean output, built with a refined assembly process that leaves no visible screw holes. Every box is glued with Titebond III and internally braced, then pre-wired with a recessed satin-nickel binding post and OFC 10-gauge wire - built by hand in the USA. Custom built to order by Basshead Supply and shipped directly from them, about 2 to 3 weeks.
