The Z v.6 is the second step in Sundown's ultra-high-excursion lineup and replaces the Z v.5 series. A patented custom-tooled frame mates to a quad-stacked 240mm (9.45") motor with a 100mm (3.94") magnet stack, a hyper-extended pole, and clearances allowing over 4" peak-to-peak travel before mechanical bottom. The 3" 8-layer flat-wire aluminum voice coil — shared with the NS v.5 series — drives extreme excursion, cooled by a high-velocity pole vent, a heavily vented magnetic gap, and machined channels around the pole piece. Built for the lowest bass extension possible in a small ported box while keeping distortion extremely low; rated 3250 watts RMS / 6500 watts peak with 35mm one-way Xmax.
