The Z8 packs elite Z Series engineering into an 8-inch frame, handling 2,000 watts RMS and 4,000 watts peak. It is built around a black aluminum 2.75" 4-layer round-winding voice coil with a 30mm Xmax for serious excursion and power handling in a compact size. Cooling comes from an optimized high-velocity pole vent, a cast-aluminum vented frame spacer ring, and a heavily vented magnetic gap, while stitched XL tinsel leads, a Mega-Roll v.2 surround, custom spider packs, and a large aluminum Faraday ring keep it durable under abuse. It is designed for ported enclosures and thrives in a 1.0 cu. ft. net box tuned to 32Hz.

This enclosure is custom built specifically for the Sundown Audio Z MDF 8" subwoofer. Basshead Supply's Performance Series enclosures are subwoofer-specific boxes engineered for strong, clean output, built with a refined assembly process that leaves no visible screw holes. Every box is glued with Titebond III and internally braced, then pre-wired with a recessed satin-nickel binding post and OFC 10-gauge wire - built by hand in the USA. Made to order (2-3 week lead time) and shipping from JS Ultimate Sounds, your Basshead Supply dealer.
