The X-8 v.4 builds on the legacy of the v1, v2, and v3 models and out-performs all previous generations of Sundown's standard cut-out 8" subwoofer. The gains come largely from an FEA-optimized spider and surround, built on a newly revised version of the brand's custom-tooled 8" frame. Rated at 1,250 watts RMS and 2,500 watts peak, the motor and 2.5" voice coil are capable of roughly 20mm of linear x-max one-way and around 2.4" peak-to-peak before the coil leaves the gap.
