The X-6.5SW is Sundown Audio's first true subwoofer smaller than 8 inches. It uses a voice coil identical in winding dimensions to the SA-8 v.3 — a 2" diameter coil with a 1.4" winding height — for massive thermal power handling at 400 watts RMS. A copper pole cap reduces inductive distortion, integrated tinsel leads prevent lead slapping, and a proprietary flat aluminum diaphragm rides on a 2" 4-layer CCAW coil wound on a thick Kapton former. This woofer is mechanically limited and requires a small ported enclosure; a large or sealed box will substantially reduce mechanical power handling.
