The VEX-8 is a high-efficiency 8" pro audio midrange driver that handles 300 watts RMS through an enormous 2.5" voice coil and a super-efficient cooling system. A real carbon-fiber cone resists breakup in high-SPL systems, and a large-diameter high-strength ferrite motor paired with a neodymium pole-cap magnet achieves a 94.3dB sensitivity. A sturdy cast-aluminum frame with extensive spider-cavity vents further increases thermal power handling, and dual shorting rings smooth response.
