How this package ships
- Two separate deliveries. Your subwoofer ships from JS Ultimate Sounds and usually arrives first.
- Separate tracking numbers. You will get one for each delivery, so a tracking link showing only part of your order is normal.
- The enclosure is built to order by Basshead Supply and ships direct from them in about 2 to 3 weeks.
- The subwoofer is not pre-installed. You mount it in the enclosure once both have arrived.
- The enclosure arrives finished in a gray stain, ready to install.

The Sundown U-Series is the brand’s premier standard-suspension woofer and the most direct replacement for the famous Z v.3 line. It starts with a double-stacked 8.66″ Y35 ferrite motor on a one-piece bumped T-yoke with a 0.6″ top-plate, a 5mm aluminum magnet-ID shorting ring to level inductance over stroke, and a 0.6″ pole extension to keep the coil controlled at high excursion. The 3″ diameter, 2.36″ long 4-layer aluminum coil is the same unit used in the X v.2 series, giving the U the same 1,500-watt RMS rating. Cooling comes from a high-velocity pole vent, ten back-plate air-gap vents, and cast-aluminum vented frame spacer rings, while a new cast-aluminum frame allows taller, more excursion-capable cones than the Z v.3. Optimized for small ported or bandpass enclosures, the U-Series sounds like the SA series but handles significantly more power.

This enclosure is custom built specifically for the Sundown Audio UV1 10" subwoofer. Basshead Supply's Performance Series enclosures are subwoofer-specific boxes engineered for strong, clean output, built with a refined assembly process that leaves no visible screw holes. Every box is glued with Titebond III and internally braced, then pre-wired with a recessed satin-nickel binding post and OFC 10-gauge wire - built by hand in the USA. Custom built to order by Basshead Supply and shipped directly from them, about 2 to 3 weeks.
