The U Series is the premier standard-suspension woofer in the Sundown lineup, equally at home in the competition lanes or playing your favorite music. A double-stacked 9.4-inch ferrite magnet system is coupled to a thick top plate, with shorting rings inside the magnets and on the pole cap to smooth frequency response while doubling as a heat sink and airflow guide. The custom cast aluminum frame is substantially thicker with heat-dissipation ribs, and the extended pole piece keeps the coil under perfect control under high stress. Coil temperature is managed with machined high-velocity pole channels and 16 direct air-gap vents in the back plate. Rated at 2000W RMS (4000W peak) with dual 2 or 4 ohm coils.
