The U-8 is built for serious output from a compact 8-inch frame, handling 750W RMS and 1,500W peak on dual 2-ohm or dual 4-ohm coils. A 2.25” aluminum voice coil former and high-temperature copper coil maximize heat dissipation, while the solid pole with vent channels, aluminum shorting ring cap, rear gap-venting, and top-plate cooling channels keep the motor running cool. A full 18mm of one-way linear excursion (with mechanical capacity in excess of double the linear limits) paired with a Mega-Roll-style surround delivers incredible linearity.
