The SML 8" is a shallow-mount subwoofer rated at 400 watts RMS and 800 watts peak, available with dual 2-ohm or dual 4-ohm voice coils. It uses a 2.25" black aluminum voice coil former with 4-layer high-temperature copper wire for superior heat dissipation, a dual-magnet motor with vented pole-piece and vented magnetic gap, and a custom-tooled cone for reduced mechanical noise at high excursion. An inch shallower than the SLD series while delivering nearly the same excursion, it is designed to fit under or behind your seat and performs exceptionally well in small enclosures.
