The SA 8-inch is the pinnacle of low-distortion ported-box subwoofer technology, completely custom tooled with a full 16mm of one-way linear excursion and mechanical capacity exceeding double the linear limits for durability and low distortion. A large aluminum faraday ring smooths acoustic response while the low-distortion motor handles 600W RMS (1200W peak) across dual 2 or 4 ohm coils. The v.3 update adds a new surround with linear geometry and improved thermal performance via 16 chamfered gap vents that keep high-velocity air flowing over the voice coil. This enclosure is custom built specifically for the Sundown Audio SAV3 8" subwoofer. Basshead Supply's Performance Series enclosures are subwoofer-specific boxes engineered for strong, clean output, built with a refined assembly process that leaves no visible screw holes. Every box is glued with Titebond III and internally braced, then pre-wired with a recessed satin-nickel binding post and OFC 10-gauge wire - built by hand in the USA. Made to order (2-3 week lead time) and shipping from JS Ultimate Sounds, your Basshead Supply dealer.
