The Compact Neo V.3 pairs a lightweight neodymium motor that develops Sundown's highest motor force — as strong as a 2,000 oz. ferrite motor — with a standard 3,500-watt RMS rating. Its solid, high-velocity pole piece uses CNC cross-cut channel cooling, a series of 16 direct air-gap vents in the back plate, and a vented top plate to keep the motor cool, while large shorting rings and Megaroll technology deliver smooth, linear cone travel. It is offered in three configurations — Music (all-around, patented Sundown frame, most throw/Xmax), Musical SPL (higher musical output, U-series frame, direct compression cooling), and SPL (extreme burp output) — and ships on a heavy-duty cast basket with spring-loaded terminals accepting up to 4-gauge wire.
