The 3″ diameter, 2.36″ long 4-layer aluminum coil is the same unit used in the X v.2 series, giving the U the same 1,500-watt RMS rating. Cooling comes from a high-velocity pole vent, ten back-plate air-gap vents, and cast-aluminum vented frame spacer rings, while a new cast-aluminum frame allows taller, more excursion-capable cones than the Z v.3.
