A 3\" 4-layer round wire aluminum voice coil wound on a thick aluminum former drives a full 35mm one-way linear excursion. Sundown's high-stroke cooling system uses a high-velocity pole vent, a heavily vented magnetic gap, and a cast-aluminum frame-base venting system, while the Mega-Roll surround and PG linear suspension keep distortion low.
